Jamie Burnett
World Snooker has launched a formal investigation into Jamie Burnett’s first-round loss to Stephen Maguire at the UK Championships on Sunday.
Burnett was beaten 9-3 and it has since emerged that several bookmakers stopped taking bets on that exact scoreline well before the match started. The 33-year-old Scot missed a black in the 12th frame, which would have made it 8-4. He denies any wrongdoing.

Ding Junhui recorded his second career maximum 147 break in the third frame of his UK Championship second-round match against John Higgins.

After potting 15 reds and 15 blacks, the world number 11 looked nervous as he attempted to clear the colours. But after stepping away from the table for a sip of water, the 21-year-old coolly potted the pink and black.
Ding is now in pole position to claim the £5,000 prize for the highest break and £25,000 bonus for the maximum, although that money would be split if another player recorded a 147.
